Accuracy and sources

Every figure is dated and sourced. Sources are listed at the end of each article. When something cannot be verified, we say so.

Updates

The date shown on an article is the date of its last full fact check. When the subject of an article changes (a price, a feature, a rule), the article is updated or taken down.

Use of AI tools

Our editors may use AI tools for background research and to prepare outlines. No article is published without review, fact-checking and original input from the editorial team.

Articles produced in partnership

Digiteo is an independent publication, but companies may pay for an article to be produced. When that happens:

• the topic must be useful to Digiteo readers and fit one of our sections;
• the editors keep control of the final text and reject any claim that cannot be verified;
• the article carries a clear disclosure at the end: "Article produced in partnership";
• we turn down illegal topics, unlicensed gambling, unauthorized health products and misleading content.

This disclosure follows the French law that applies to the publisher, which requires paid content to be clearly identified as such. For our US readers, it is also in line with the Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides: any material connection between Digiteo and a brand mentioned in an article is disclosed.

Outbound links

Editorial links point to the sources most useful to the reader. Affiliate links are marked as such in the page's code.

Headlines and numbers

A headline promises only what the article actually delivers. No numeric promise the text doesn't keep, and no year in a headline unless the content was reviewed that year. Price and timeline ranges come from a published source or from a calculation explained in the article (for example a number of days multiplied by a day rate).

Tools and calculators

Our free tools follow the same rules as our articles: the formula is explained, the rates are current and official sources are cited. They collect no data: see our privacy policy for details.

Editorial responsibility

The director of publication is responsible for all content, including content produced in partnership. Their identity and the publisher's are listed in the legal notice.

Corrections

Errors reported through our contact page are corrected within 7 days. Significant corrections are noted at the end of the article.
